Manchester United v West Brom Preview

The Premier League is back today and it seems like ages since we last saw Manchester United. United take on West Brom in todays later kick off with no new injuries worries.

Last time Manchester United played West Brom, it was on boking day (26th December 2005) and United won 3-0 at Old Trafford with the first goal from Scholes in the 35th minute, the second goal was from Ferdinand on the 45th minute. The final goal was from Ruud Van Nistelrooy in the 63rd minute.

Michael Carrick and Owen Hargreaves are still out injured. Goalkeepers Kuszczak and Foster are still out injured so Amos will be on the bench. Ryan Giggs is expected to start but Anderson and Tevez will have late checks after returning later than everyone else from international duty.

West Brom's winger Chris Brunt has returned from injury but Filipe Teixeira has not returned after not being rushed back from injury.

West Brom Squad: Carson, Kiely, Zuiverloon, Hoefkens, Barnett, Donk, Olsson, Robinson, Cech, Morrison, Greening, Koren, Valero, Brunt, Miller, Bednar, Moore, Slusarski, MacDonald, Pele.

Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson: (When asked if Rooney will play through the middle) “Not necessarily,”
“I may change it from time to time. I have fantastic selections up front.“At Blackburn I picked a team I felt was the best one to win the game [and that had Rooney on the right]. All the players played a part in that win.”

West Brom boss Tony Mowbray: "We will try to be positive and try to get our game going. We do know with Manchester United that it will be an open game.
"They won't necessarily be all about stopping us. They will want it to be a football match.
"So when we've got possession of the ball we have to try to make sure we don't give it back to them too quickly.
"We will go there and play and try to enjoy it and get a result."

    Yes it does seem like ages since a Premier League game. I'm hoping for a shock draw in this game. Nil - Nil with Man Utd hitting the woodwork 3 times!!!

    Well you were kind of right but you predicted what would happen in the Sunderland game, it was a 0-0 draw and Richardson hit the woodwork three times
