This year the Man United Christmas party was pretty quiet compared to recent seasons. After the 3-0 loss to Fulham Man United stars decided to celebrate Christmas at Rio Ferdinand’s restaurant Rosso.

Gary Neville, Darren Fletcher, Federico Macheda, Jonny Evans, Wayne Rooney and Rio Ferdinand were some of the star Man United players spotted at the party.

The only controversy that came from the players themselves came courtesy of 18-year old Macheda, who was spotted smoking. Guests made the most of the free booze, one was taken off in an ambulance and others were slumped in doorways.

One guest said: “Despite the disappointment of losing a game at the weekend, the boys had a great time. At one point a bunch of the players even got on chairs to sing their favourite terrace songs.”
