A Barcelona based newspaper has claimed that Man United have targeted Barcelona manager Pep Guardiola to replace Sir Alex Ferguson. The newspaper believes that Man United have offered Guardiola a lucrative contract and he would be able to have as much control of the club as Sir Alex has.

The reports believe that Guardiola could be secured as early as April 2010, which could mean that Sir Alex Ferguson and Pep Guardiola could work together for a year or two.

Guardiola’s contract with Barca expires at the end of this season and this newspaper believes that after that, he will join Manchester United.

I don’t know how credible this newspaper is but it is believable that Man United may bring in the manager that will succeeds Sir Alex before he retires.
