Man United have confirmed that striker Wayne Rooney has not broken anything but he has suffered some minor ligament damage. Rooney picked the injury up right at the end of the game against Bayern Munich, he is still doubtful for Saturday’s game against Chelsea.
A spokesperson told ManUtd.com, “We’re pleased to report that Wayne has not suffered a fracture. The scan revealed only minor ligament damage.”
United aren’t saying how many games Rooney will miss right now. More will come tomorrow during Sir Alex Ferguson’s pre-match press conference at Carrington.
