Wayne Rooney Not Being Punished

Recently there have been some rumours that Wayne Rooney hasnt been playing for United because he is being punished for going out on New Years Eve. Sir Alex Ferguson has said in today's programme notes that Rooney wasnt playing because he was either ill or injured:
"There were a lot of rumours flying about as to why Wayne was not in the starting line-up,” Sir Alex writes. “The simple truth is that Wayne missed the Birmingham game with sickness and we left him behind when we went to West Ham because he had developed a bit of an injury niggle. “He was about 90 per cent fit by the time of the Cup tie so I judged he was best left on the bench. There was nothing sinister behind his omission, just a boring injury story that is sometimes not good enough to satisfy people’s desire for a conspiracy theory!”

New Contract For Evra?

Evra has been playing really well for United this season and now he is going to be rewarded with a new contract.
Manchester United have apparently opened talks with Evra over a new contract, which is good news.
Sir Alex Ferguson said: "David (Gill) spoke to Patrice's agents, so he will probably fix up a meeting with them."

Sky Banned By Ferguson

I have been wondering why Ferguson's pre match interview hasnt been shown on skysportsnews. I have just read that the reason why i havent been able to see it is because Ferguson banned sky's camera's. In 2004 Ferguson banned the bbc camera's so bbc viewers havent been able to see a Sir Alex interview for three and a half years. Hopefully the ban wont last for ever. Ferguson apparently banned sky because of the way one of the broadcasters reacted to comments he made on New Year's Day about the atmosphere in Old Trafford.
