Ferdinand agrees a new deal

Apparently United defender and possibly England captain Rio Ferdinand has agreed a new deal with United that will keep him at the club for the next five years.
Ferdinand currently has two years left on his contract but he wanted to get the contract sorted earlier rather than later which is fair enough.
Reports are also saying that he will be earning £120,000 per week, i dont know how much he is currently earning.
Rio's agent told the daily express: "This new deal will take him beyond 34."But it won't be his last contract, and in all probability it won't be his last contract at Manchester United."Rio is very happy there, he wanted to stay and they wanted him to stay."Of course he could have gone to another big club, but he did not want to."
"I believe he can play longer than (Paolo) Maldini - and they believe so at Manchester United as well."

I am happy that Ferdinand will be signing a new contract, lets hope that another of our star men will sign a new contract, but apparently Ronaldo wont be signing a new contract with United.
