Manchester United v Barcelona Review

How is everyone? I am still nursing a bit of a headache but it is self inflicted so i cannot really complain. What a fantastic night last night, United are going to be playing in Moscow on the 21st May which is about three weeks away.
The first leg at Barca finished 0-0 but there was a penalty miss from Ronaldo which could have cost us.
Vidic and Rooney werent fit to play so that was a big blow before the match.
Barcelona started well, they had a freekick right on the edge of the United penalty box which was given against the one and only Paul Scholes. Messi took the freekick but it went straight into the wall.
Barca had a lot of the possession throughout the match, i am sure it was something like 63% at the end of the match but possession doesnt count for anything if you dont score.
14 minutes in a Ronaldo was running at the Barca defence but he lost the ball, the ball rebounded back to Scholes, he took a few touches and scored an absolute screamer. What a vital goal that was going to prove to be.
Much has been made about Scholes missing the 99 final through suspension, so it made it more special because that goal has taken us to the 2008 final and Fergie has said that he will be the first name on the team sheet.
Barcelona didnt have too many chances but everytime Messi came forward he was threatning. Nobody seemed able to tackle him even if he wasnt anywhere near the penalty area.
Second half and Barca still had most of the possession but both teams had some good chances, Nani wasted one or two but he was an awful lot better than he was on sunday. Tevez had a good chance but he was denied by a great save by the goalie.
Barca brought on Henry in the second half who has a fantastic record against us, one goal every two games (on average). At that point i was thinking here we go, Henry is gong to score the winner.
There is only one clear moment that i can think of when Henry could have scored and that was at a corner, Henry headed the ball straight at Van Der Sar. Either side of him and it could have been the away goal that Barca needed.
The last 10/15 minutes Barca were coming at us constantly and it was horrible to watch, i was so sure that they were going to score. Every single United player last night played their part and defended fantastically.
3 minutes injury time were added on but on the 90 minute mark Evra was injured by a foot in the face by Dec. He was stretchered off, by the time that had happened the three minutes were up but no stoppage time had been played so it was another three minutes of holding on. Silvestre came on for Evra, United could have easily been a bit shaken up of out of sorts after loosing a player at the end of the game but we werent and the final whistle went.
We had won 1-0 and were going to Moscow, it is also the first English Champion's League final. United will be playing either Liverpool or Chelsea who play tonight.

One massive shout out for the fans, they were amazing last night, unfortuntly i couldnt get hold of a ticket but they were right behind the team throughout the whole match and pushed us over the finish line.

Finally: There is some good news- Vidic, Evra and Rooney are all expected to be fit to play against West Ham.
