Reaction from ManUnited v Barcelona

Manchester United Reaction:
Ferguson: "Maybe we will get more tickets against Liverpool because Roman Abramovich seems to have bought them all up,"
"It is great for Paul to be in the final,"
"It was a fantastic goal.
"I don't think you can expect him to score 10 or 15 goals a season like he used to but when he gets one like that it makes up for the ones he can't score."
"It is a big boost for Saturday," he said.
"It won't do us any harm that's for sure. The energy in the team was excellent. The question is how do we get that back into them?
"It was a bit nervy in the second half because Barcelona had to have a go at 1-0 down. But we got through that spell and in the last 15 minutes, I didn't think they made any chances.
"It was emotional at the end but you expect that at a semi-final. The important thing is that we are there and we deserve to be there."
Carrick: "There was a few heart-stopping moments towards the end but we managed to get through it," Carrick told Sky Sports News.
"You could see the feeling in the boys at the end it was a bit of relief, obviously to get through and achieve what we have wanted to do so far and obviously the plan is to go on and win it."
"Whoever is put up in front of us we have to get past,"
"It is going to be a huge game for different reasons - Chelsea are obviously challenging for title and if it's Liverpool they are big local rivals.
"We are happy with anything really, we can enjoy it."
Fletcher: "The club has not been to enough finals and just to get to another one is great and as we have said it is only part of job done as we want to win in Moscow,"
"It is going to be difficult game no matter who it is.
"We can just relax now and sit back and enjoy the game and no matter who it is, it's going to be difficult game but we will be confident going into it.
"But we have two massive league games to focus on now and that is what our concentration is going towards."
Ronaldo: “The fans were absolutely fantastic,” Ronaldo told MUTV. “They did a great job and sang for the whole game. It gave the players motivation and helped us get a massive result.”
“The feeling is great,”
“It will be my first Champions League final and I feel very good. It’s great for me and my colleagues.“The final is in three weeks and we have time to work and keep our concentration. But the most important thing now is the league.”
Silvestre: "I think tactically we played really well and controlled Barcelona.
"They had a lot of possession, but didn't create many chances and that is why this season we are in the final."

Barcelona Reaction:
Rijkaard: "That thought has not entered my head.
"I have no intention of leaving. The club need help and support. We all need to stick together.
"It would be a different case if the players were saying it was time to go but that is not the case.
"Barcelona are a massive club and there are people to take the decisions at the end of the season if decisions need to be taken."
"We did everything but score
"It was a very even game, if anything we had the better of the play. But the rules are that the team that scores goes through and they did that."
"It is a tough defeat to take and it is hard to stomach.
"The Champions League is very important and it is over for us now. But after this game can walk away with our heads held high."
Puyol: "What we have to do is defend Barcelona's shirt with all our strength and do our best in the remaining games," Puyol said after the game. "We need to be aware of the shirt we wear."We have one of the best squads and we have to reflect on some things, but not now. We understand the critics and we respect them. "We were not bad in Copa and in Champions League, but we have been very inconsistent in the league, we can only thank our supporters for helping us at all times."
"We only missed the goal, and to qualify you obviously have to score. This was an even round and we played against a great team,"
Iniesta: “It’s a difficult moment for everyone involved, we were almost in the final but we didn’t make it and now the whole team is disappointed,” Iniesta told Marca.
“There have been several games where we have not managed to put the ball in the net and we have been punished, it has cost us many times and many things. “However now we have to think about our remaining games in La Liga and we have to try and finish on a high. “It’s a difficult time for us right now but we have to live with it and move on.”
Deco: “For a club like this it is really difficult to go two years without winning anything,” Deco told Marca. “I think that everyone has to take part of the blame and it’s everyone’s responsibility to. “We all have to sit down and take a moment to think and reflect upon this season and that hopefully the same will not happen next season. “We have to discuss the problem amongst ourselves and I believe this club should bring in some young players who have desire and motivation to win.”
