Manchester United v Roma Review

It was the second leg of the Champion's League Quarter Finals between United and Roma last night, the first leg finished Roma 0-2 Manchester United, with a goal from both Rooney and Ronaldo.
The 2-0 away goal ment that we could loose 1-0 to Roma and still go through but i still wanted a win because a record was up for grabs. If we won this match then we would have won 11 consecutive games at Old Trafford.
The team news was that there was no Ronaldo, Rooney, Evra or even Scholes in the starting 11. Ronaldo, Rooney and Scholes were on the bench.

United team:Van der Sar; Brown, Pique, Ferdinand, Silvestre; Park, Carrick (O'Shea 74), Hargreaves, Anderson (Neville 81), Giggs (Rooney 74); Tevez. Subs not used: Kuszczak, Ronaldo, Scholes, Welbeck

Roma team: Doni; Panucci, Mexes, Juan, Cassetti (Tonetto 56); De Rossi, Pizarro (Giuly 69), Taddei (Esposito 81), Perrotta; Mancini, Vucinic. Subs not used: Curci, Cicinho, Aquilani, Brighi

In the fifteen minutes United were carving Roma open and could have easily been 4-0 up, Hargreaves had a good chance but it was saved and Giggs had a couple of chances but they were also blocked and saved.
Roma didnt look like the Roma i have seen playing in Serie A, they looked like they didnt know what to do but then things changed.
On a rare Roma attack, Brown challenged Mancini in the penalty area, he got the ball but Mancini decided to fall over but ref said penalty.
This was a chance for Roma to get back into the game, if they scored then they would have 1 away goal and they needed to.
So in the 28th minute De Rossi ran up to take the penalty and he skied it over the bar, so it was still 2-0 to United.
Just after the pen Roma were coming at us and Ferdinand put a tackle in which looked like it injured him, he had actually been cut so badly that during half time he had three stitches put in.
The second half dulled the game down, United looked happy to hit Roma on the counter attack and Roma were trying to come at us but with nothing really happening.
In the 70th minute we had a break through, with a fantastic cross by Hargreaves, Tevez netted the ball and we were 1-0 up and 3-0 up on agg.
Neville was brought on with 9 minutes to go, Ferdinand gave him the arm band and we have our captain back after 13 months.
Next up is only the small matter of Arsenal on Sunday.
