United Sign Young Striker

Manchester United have reportdly signed a young Italian striker called Davide Petrucci who is only 16 years old and he has signed from Roma.
Petrucci scored 14 goals in 19 matches last season, he was Roma's Youth team's top scorer. He also played fo Italy's U17's.

United will pay Petrucci £95,000 a year and will cover the cost of regular flights home to Italy. The deal is the maximum permissible offer for a youth-team player. Roma will receive around £200,000 in compensation.

This move has thought to have angered Roma because he has been compared to Totti.

I don't think that he will be pushed into the first team but he does sound like he could be a good investment.

Typical :( Man U flash cash around to buy a player that may never play in the first team.

United are giving the kid a chance and I have heard that he is a fantastic player, so why not?

A chance to play reserve football, the players choice I suppose.

Well it was Davide Petrucci's decision at the end of the day, either to accept Roma or Man Utd's contract offer. So to complain about Man Utd's behaviour is immature, the lad made his own decision and it's Roma's fault for not disclosing the information on his contract.

Best of luck to Petrucci at Old Trafford.

    Hi federico, thanks for commenting.

Apparently a rumour that is going around today is that one of the reasons that he has come to Old Trafford is because he wanted to provide a better life for his family.
I have to agree with what you say and I hope that he becomes a success at United
