Last night Manchester United faced their toughest test so far in pre-season, so how did they get on?
About six minutes into the match and United were given a penalty after Campbell was taken out by Johnson in the penalty area, Carlos Tevez took the penalty which was scored the first time but it had to be retaken. I am not quite sure why it was retaken but I think it is probably because the ref thought a player (Eagles) was in the box before Tevez took the penalty. Tevez took the second penalty but this time it hit the woodwork.
United dominated the first chance and I can't remember a chance that Portsmouth had to score.
We could have been out of sight with all of the chances that we had but it was James that kept Pompey in the game.
United finally got the goal that we deserved in the 50th minute from Eagles who could have really got a few goals in the first half.
Tevez had a bit of a mixed game and he was rightfully booked for kicking Papa Bouba Diop twice, but this was all forgotten when Tevez scored United's second goal in the 64th minute, Tevez blasted the ball past David James which was definetly the goal of the night.
United dominated the second half aswell, but Jermaine Defoe pulled a goal back for Pompey in the last minute of the match when he slotted the ball past substitute goalie Amos.
United flew home straight after the match for preperations for Solskjaer's testimonial match this saturday.

Do you think this preseason tour, considering the distance travelled and the quality of the opposition is worthwhile?
It outrageously absurd that Ferguson sidelined Rooney for prostitution in Africa without specifying the virus he contracted, and he should be held responsible for this reckless act that will lead to Man-U early failures.
Hi anonymous, thanks for your comment.
I appreciate what you say but I can't agree with it.
Rooney has a virus and it's not been specified and to me it doesn't really matter whether it is specified or not.
You also need to cheer up a bit, the season hasn't started and you don't know if it will lead to failures.
