How Did The Reds Get On?

As you probably no, Manchester United aren't in action this weekend with internationals being played. There were a few United players in action last night for their countries and this is how they got on.

Carlos Tevez- Tevez managed to get himself sent off after only half an hour, he was given a straight red even though he was already on a yellow card. Argentina were already a goal down against Paraguay at this point (former United defender Gabriel Henize scored an own goal) but the match finished as a draw.

Wayne Rooney- Rooney was the only English Man United player to play tonight, Wes Brown was on the bench and Rio Ferdinand was ruled out of the Andorra match due to a stiff back. The good news is that England won, 2-0 but the bad news is that Rooney didnt score, if only he can get one goal and then I think he will gain confidence and score loads.

John O'Shea- O'Shea played 90 minutes for the Republic Of Ireland, who beat Georgia 2-1 in Germany, I watched the match and O'Shea did ok, he did have a fantastic chance to score though but his header was over the bar.

Darren Fletcher- Fletcher played for 90 minutes for Scotland but unfortuntly they were beaten 1-0 by Macedonia.

Jonny Evans- Evans played 90 minutes for Northern Ireland but they also lost, the final score was 2-1 in Slovakia.

Patrice Evra- Evra played in the biggest shock defeat of the night, France lost 3-1 to Austria.

Dimitar Berbatov- New United player Berbatov was nearly on the loosing end but Bulgaria got a last minute equaliser against Montenegro.

Luis Nani- Nani had a fairly easy night, Portugal beat Malta 4-0 with Nani getting the final goal. It was also former Manchester United assistant Carlos Quieiroz' first competitive match as Portugal manager.

Nemanja Vidic- Vidic and Serbia were off to a winning start with a 2-0 win over the Faroe Islands.
