Manchester United v Bolton Review, did Ronaldo cheat?

Sir Alex Ferguson left Rooney on the bench today and Ronaldo, Tevez and Berbatov started up front but the main talking point was Cristiano Ronaldo yet again.

Bolton started off at a great pace, Nolan had a shot in the first minute which was safely saved by Edwin Van Der Sar who was back fit after an injury against Chelsea.
Manchester United were slowly getting into the game with a few shots, Ronaldo had a shot which took a deflection and went for a corner, Neville's efford was snubbed out, Berbatov had a header from Fletcher's cross in was well saved by Jaaskelainen and Park had a shot which was a tight angle that went into the side netting.
27 minutes in and Ronaldo took a typical Ronaldo freekick which was tipped over the bar by Jaaskelainen, at this point it was all Manchester United and only a matter of time until we scored.
Anderson had a great shot aswell, which was also tipped over the bar by Jaaskelainen. Manchester United were having quite a few corners but most of them were being taken short which really wasnt working, we needed to play the ball into the penalty area where we had Ferdinand, Vidic, Ronaldo and Berbatov.
40 minutes in and we had the best chance of the game, so far. Bolton's Muamba missed from six yards out and that was a massive let off for us because it should have really been a goal.

Second half and Bolton had a chance straight away which was off target and just wide.
Three minutes later Cristiano Ronaldo had a shot which hit the post and luckily went to Jaaskelainen.
Manchester United were having more and more shots, Anderson had a shot blocked by the defender and Ronaldo had a shot which was also blocked by a defender, but Bolton were very much in the game.
58 minutes in and then we had the incedent which has become the main talking point of the game.
Ronaldo was "brought down" by Jloyd Samuel and the ref eventually gave a penalty, which suprised the players who were running back into the other half and it also suprised me.
Ronaldo left his foot in and went over, I am a massive Ronaldo fan but he cheated today and I am not happy with what he did. The sooner he gets this 100% out of this game, the better because after that penalty, which was scored by Ronaldo, Bolton weren't in the game anymore and United were all over them.
After the penalty, Tevez found Ferdinand who shot which was blocked, Rooney and Scholes came on for Manchester United and there was a bit more of a spark from United since they went on.
76 minutes in and United got their second goal and the goal scorer was Rooney. Ronaldo backheeled the ball and Rooney's shot was exquisite and went into the back of the net.
With 10 minutes left of the match and Nani came on for Ronaldo.
Nani had a chance straight away, his great run ended in a great shot which ended in a corner, Nani had another shot in the 85th minute and you could tell that he was desperate for a goal.
Scholes also had a few shots in the last few minutes, his first shot was saved by Jaaskelainen and his second was a header which went just wide.

Overall I am happy with the win because we have got three points but I am extremly disappointed in Ronaldo because I thought he was stopping all of this rubbish because he is an amazing player and doesn't need to do it.
If Manchester United are to win the Premier League title again I want us to do it without cheating.

What do you think, did Ronaldo cheat or not?

Good to see you have the guts to call him what he is.

In case anyone else is still uncertain, read the following:

Cheating (also called gulling) is an act of lying, deception, fraud, trickery, imposture, or imposition. Cheating characteristically is employed to create an unfair advantage, usually in one's own interest, and often at the expense of others.[1] Cheating implies the breaking of rules. The term "cheating" is less applicable to the breaking of laws, as illegal activities are referred to by specific legal terminology such as fraud or corruption. Cheating is a primordial economic act: getting more for less, often used when referring to marital infidelity.

    Christiano Ronaldo is a cheat!

    Hi finlay,

In my opinion there are many cheats in the Premier League and I don't like it, if Manchester United were to win anything I want it to be because we played proper football that won us games.
