Manchester United v West Brom Review

Yesterday the Premier League returned with some fantastic matches to showcase the Premier League, one of which was Manchester United v West Brom. Before United kicked off United were 9 points behind Chelsea who had played two extra games but from now on we cannot afford to drop any points.

The was a slightly surprising starter of the match, Rafael Da Silva replaced Wes Brown at right back to make his Premier League debut.
In the first half of the match, United were frustrated by West Brom who were looking tight at the back but United did break though at around the 29 minute mark when Ronaldo put Rooney through, Rooney went past a defender and chipped the ball past Carson to what we thought was to put United 1-0 up but I and the rest of Old Trafford thought that Rooney had scored but the whistle had gone and the goal was ruled out. When going past the defender, Rooney had slightly pushed him so the goal wasn't going to count- bad decision by the ref.

There wasnt much to talk about in the first half, West Brom were playing some good football but they were keeping in their half of the pitch. United looked like they were going to get frustrated and the match went into half time 0-0.
Evra did go off in the first half with an injury and he was replaced by O'Shea, it might not be serious, it could have been a slight niggle and he was taken off with United thinking of the Celtic match on tuesday.

United came out for the second half and they played some of the best football I have seen them play so far this season.
Manchester United's in form striker started off the scoring when he cut inside Donk and fired a fantastic ball past Carson and into the back of the net to give United a deserved lead.
Minutes later Rooney set up Cristiano Ronaldo who ran at Carson and slotted the ball through Carson's legs and into the goal to give United a 2-0 lead.

United's third goal you could say was a lucky one when the ball took a few deflections straight into Berbatov's path who still had to finish it off, which he did and he made it 3-0. United were crusing now and it looked like we could get as many goals as we wanted.

West Brom did have a couple of shots in the second half but they were reduced to long shot and throughout the match it only looked like there was only going to be one winner.

Nani came on in the second half and I can see him being a fantastic player but it looks like he only has an eye for goal, instead of passing he shoots but we have seen that before - a younger Cristiano Ronaldo.
Nani did get the goal he wanted though, Berbatov put a great ball through to Rooney who delivered a superb ball across the front of the goal for Nani to score.

The final score was Manchester United 4-0 West Brom, I think we thoroughly deserved the 3 points and we are now hitting top form, hopefully we can keep this going, bring on Celtic!!!
