Aston Villa v Manchester United Review

Manchester United had the evening kick off last night so they knew prior to match that Arsenal lost 3-0 to Manchester City and that Liverpool and Chelsea had drawn at home to Fulham and Newcastle respectively. These results gave United a massive chance to catch up on some points but things didn't go how I was hoping.

Wayne Rooney probably had the best chance of the match but Park also had a fantastic chance during the game but United were unable to break through Aston Villa's defence.

During the second half (around 85 minutes in) there was a bit of a controversial part of the match when Nemanja Vidic and Gabriel Agbonlahor both went down in the penalty area and Aston Villa thought they should have had a penalty.
I don't think that it was a penalty area because the foul (Vidic on Agbonlahor) went on outside the penalty area so it should have been a freekick to Villa but Im not complaining.

Ronaldo had a few chances from freekicks yesterday but unlike the freekicks against Stoke, Ronaldo wasn't at his best and most of them hit the wall.

It was a great game and in some points of the game there was a fantastic tempo but both Manchester United and Aston Villa failed to score and there we had the third 0-0 draw of the day.

Overall I am disappointed with the result because if we had won we would have been six points behind with a game against Fulham in hand but it wasn't to be and now it looks like we will be missing Ronaldo for the match against Villarreal on Tuesday.

Next up in the Premier League is the big derby against Manchester City.
