Reports in the papers are suggesting today that Manchester United winger Cristiano Ronaldo may be offered a new contract IF he shows some loyalty to the club. But my question really is does Cristiano Ronaldo really deserve a new contract?

Cristiano did have an ankle operation during the summer but he has been back for a bit now and in my honest opinion he hasnt done enough to show that he still wants to be at the club and I don't think that right now he deserves a new contract which will probably give him a few extra thousand a week.

There is no doubting that Ronaldo is a fantastic player with loads of ability and on last seasons performances he was the best player in the world but on recent performances I dont think he is currently the best player in the world, whether that is because he doesnt want to be at Manchester United or he still isn't match fit and doesnt have his sharpness back I don't know.

So Manchester United or any other fans, does Cristiano Ronaldo deserve to be offered a new contract?
