What were you thinking? - That is the thoughts going on in most Manchester United fans heads after Cristiano Ronaldo was sent off for a second yellow card for handball.
Manchester United won the derby 1-0 but that isn't what is being talked about today. Ronaldo's first yellow card was debatable because I and many others thought he got the ball but I can also see that he may not have got the ball, it is difficult to know whether or not he got the ball. After he received the yellow card Ronaldo clapped the referee which could have easily got him a second yellow.
The second yellow which saw Ronaldo was completely ridiculous because he handballed the ball as if he had heard a whistle which he did indicate when he walked off. That is the only reason I can think off for what he did because he didn't push the ball towards the goal and he could have headed it so he must have thought he heard a whistle (which I have done before) but nobody else in heard it.
Before the match Rooney said that United were leaving the goal drought for Manchester City but that didn't happen today with only one goal being scored but it was for United and it was by Wayne Rooney.
This goal meant that Rooney has scored 100 goals for Everton and Manchester United which is fantastic for him and the club, hopefully this will give him some confidence to score more in the matches to come.
Overall I think we deserved the win and it made it all the more better because Chelsea lost to Arsenal at Stamford Bridge.
