Man United v Middlesbrough Premier League Review

Last night Man United played one of their games in hand, before the match we were three points behind the Premier League leaders (Liverpool) but with three games in hand.

Carlos Tevez was missing from the squad after flying back to Argentina due to a family matter.

Over the last few games we have been 1-0 specialists and it was the same last night, we did exactly the same last season but earlier on into the season. It is a bit of a worry that we aren't scoring that many goals, we have the chances, like we did last night but we aren't putting them into the back of the net.

We could have had quite a few goals last night but the Middlesbrough keeper (Turnball) was fantastic and he saved his team from an embarrassment. During the match we had 34 shots and only one of them was a goal.

It wasn't all one sided, Boro did have a few chances and some of them should really have been a goal.

Ronaldo had a some chances in the first half which he either sliced wide or the ball went straight to Turnball but Manchester United's saviour was Dimitar Berbatov.

The 0-0 scoreline was broken in the 69th minute when we finally put the ball into the back of the net. Berbatov volleyed Michael Carrick's ball past Turnball which ended up being the one and only goal. It was a bit of a lucky goal to get because the ball had bounced back off Boro defender Wheater right into Berbatov's direction but I would take any goal right now.

Next up in the Premier League is Chelsea at Old Trafford, John Terry and Ricardo Carvalho should be back for Chelsea but we will have Evra back after that stupid four match ban.
