You would have thought that after being charged with assault and affray that Steven Gerrard would have taken some of the spotlight off Man United players, but no.

After a little bust up with Pogatetz during yesterdays match against Middlesbrough, Ronaldo is now in the headlines again.

Replays showed that during the first half Pogatetz wrestled Ronny by his throat to the floor, Ronaldo went to the referee who did nothing, so Ronaldo took it in his own hands to have a word or two with Pogatetz.

During the past few seasons things haven't been too good between both of the clubs because Boro have claimed that Ronny dived to get a penalty during the matches.

During the Carling Cup match between Man United and Boro earlier on in the season (Man United won it 3-1 at Old Trafford) Pogatetz was sent off with a straight red card after a terrible tackle on Possebon which left him seriously injured.

Fergie said after the match:

“It seems Pogatetz grabbed him by the neck. It happens all the time. There is jostling and jersey-pulling. Defenders are getting away with murder.”
