After signing Tosic and Ljajic Fergie said that, that was the end of Manchester United doing business in this transfer window but it looks like that is not the case.

The breaking news is that Manchester United have signed Stoke Defender Richie De Laet.
Richie is 20 years old and he has signed a three year contract. Other reports are saying that he has signed on loan until the rest of the season.

United have brokered a performance-related fee for him, De Laet hasn't played a game for Stoke who earlier on in the season was at Wrexham on loan.

Some more breaking news is that Cristiano Ronaldo has been involved in a car crash this morning, he came out of it unhurt and he is currently training with United. No other car was involved but his Ferrari is pretty smashed up.

*UPDATE* Cristiano Ronaldo's ferrari has apparently been written off and a Bentley was seen following Ronaldo's ferrari, the police have spoken to Edwin Van Der Sar and they want to speak to Ronaldo.

**Update** more information has come about the crash- Ronaldo was not alone in the car- Manucho was with him, both players are fine. Van Der Sar arrived on the scene not long after and he took both Ronaldo and Manucho to Manchester United's training ground. Ronaldo took a breath test at the scene, the results were negative. Ronaldo also spoke to police at the scene but they will also want to formally interview him. Police are now looking for witnesses.
