Tottenham Player Dreams Of United

After a dramatic summer between Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United over Dimitar Berbatov, it probably wasn't the brightest thing for the Spurs newest striker to say that he dreams of playing for Manchester United.

Manchester United take on Spurs in the Carling Cup on Sunday, Spurs striker Roman Pavlyuchenko has said that his dream has come true and now he has another dream- to play for Manchester United.

I don't think he is too serious about it though, I can't see him doing a Dimitar Berbatov and refusing to play. Would Man United be interested in Pavlyuchenko? I don't think so, there is no doubting he is a good player but he hasn't impressed me so far in the Premier League.

Pavlyuchenko said: "It would be wrong not to dream about this [When asked if he would like to play for Manchester United}. I have realised that the Premier League is exactly why you should start playing football in the first place, and United are the leaders of it. Once your first dream comes true you must start dreaming of another target."

Pavlyuchenko went on to talk about who he replaced at Spurs, Berbatov. By the sound of it, he doesn't have that higher opinion of him.

"Keane returned to Spurs as if he never left the club. It's evident that he's a man of authority inside the team, which is good for us. He was always liked as far as I can judge.

"If Berbatov returned it would be taken quite differently. I heard tales that he was an arrogant snob who, after training, would just throw his dirty boots to the man who takes care of our footwear, saying, 'Clean them for me'. No one likes such people. Still, he's now playing for United."

If a player leaves a club on bad terms like Berbatov did, then I would believe everything that is said about him, surely some stuff it made up.
