Fergie Lays Into FA

Sir Alex Ferguson has ripped into the FA after he (and other managers) believe that they are devaluing the FA Cup. Manchester United will play Everton at Wembley on the 19th April in the semi-finals.

Many managers believe that this devalues the FA Cup, every football fan and player would love/do love going to Wembley but is it too much to play semi-final matches at Wembley.

Many people, including me believe that only the final should be played at Wembley and semi-finals should be played at neutral grounds such as Aston Villa's Villa Park.

Fergie said: “I agree with David [Moyes] that playing the semi-finals at Wembley devalues the FA Cup.
“This is a decision by the FA that pushes up the cost for the fans.
“It’s likely tickets will be a lot more than if it was played at Villa Park.”

Manchester United and Everton supporters will have to travel down from up North, Villa Park is a lot closer and I think a suitable venue for a semi-final game.
“The least the FA can do is reduce the Wembley prices to a level in keeping with club tickets.” Now I think that that is fair enough, especially considering the financial climate we are currently in.

Wembley should only be for finals, that is my opinion.
