Newcastle United v Manchester United Preview

Tomorrow Manchester United kick on with the Premier League campaign, Chelsea or Liverpool could be four points behind us before we even kick a ball but we will have two games in hand.

Manchester United and Newcastle United met on the first day of their seasons and fought it out for a 0-0 draw, since then Man United have gone from strength to strength, Newcastle have gone downhill and it is a real possibility that they could be relegated.

Newcastle's confidence took another knock after loosing 1-0 to Bolton over the weekend and Manchester United's confidence grew after winning the Carling Cup on Sunday. Putting it like that, you can only see a Man United win but it won't be that easy.

When teams play Man United (or Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool) they aren't expecting anything from the game but they do have a chance to show what they can do against top opposition, they will make it hard for us.

Newcastle have lost three of their last six games, they have won one and drawn the other two. Manchester United have won four of their last six games and drawing against Tottenham (over 90 minutes) and Inter Milan.

Man United's big hitters such as Van Der Sar, Carrick, Rooney and Berbatov should return to the starting line-up, especially since extra time was played on Sunday.

Team News to come later when it has been confirmed.
