It may only be March but there are more and more rumours doing the rounds in the football rumour mill, the latest Manchester United one is that apparently Wigan ace Antonio Valencia will be joining Man United in the summer for a fee in excess of €5.3 million.
Valencia has impressed everyone, including myself since he came to England and I would love to see him at Old Trafford but I can't help but feel sorry for Wigan. Wigan manager (and former United player) Steve Bruce won't stand in his way: “Come on, we have to be sensible about this. If Man United come knocking at the door, how the hell can you refuse them?
“I’m aware you can’t deny somebody like a Manchester United or a Liverpool or a Tottenham [Hotspur].
“This club never wanted to sell [Pascal] Chimbonda, but players want to go and you can understand that, so we have to be realistic as well.”
