Man United Beat Porto in Estadio Do Dragao

What can I say about last night? Before the game I was nervous because no British team had ever beaten Porto in their stadium, the Estadio Do Dragao. But Manchester United have beaten Porto in their own back yard.

We hadn't been right defensively either and the return of Ferdinand helped us but last night but we looked a lot better everywhere on the field.

Vidic and Ferdinand showed why they have one of the best central defensive partnerships in the world, they strolled through the game and weren't really troubled unlike last week when we didn't have Ferdinand.

Ronaldo looked a lot better aswell, it was a stunning goal by him that won the match and the goal that he scored deserved to win the game. The goal came in the sixth minute, Ronaldo received the ball from Anderson and scored from 40 yards out.

Nani came on in the 71st minute and he really didn't impress at all, at one point it looked like Fergie was going to substitute him. To be fair on Nani, he did have one good shot that wasn't too far away from goal.

Rooney had a fantastic game, it was very selfless but he kept Cissokho back into his own half which kept some pressure off the defenders.

Anderson also impressed me last night, he took control of the midfield in the first half. I wasn't quite sure whether he was going to come out for the second half or not after he swapped shirts with Porto's goalie Helton and clapped as of he knew he wasn't coming back on the pitch for the second half, but he did.

Berbatov had a quietly good game, OK, so he didn't have too many shots at goal but he brought some composure to the team.

Porto didn't really test us too much, they did have a few good chances in the second half, mainly in the last 10 minutes. We saw the total opposite of last weeks game, Man United looked good and Porto looked average. We are through to the semi-finals of the Champion's League and we will be playing Arsenal, first game is at Old Trafford, second is at the Emirates.

Next up is Everton in the FA Cup this Sunday and I am a lot more confident than I was, we have Ferdinand back and the defense looks a lot stronger which means that the whole team looks a lot more confident.
