Porto vs Manchester United, Match Preview

Tomorrow Manchester United will have to do what no English team has done - beat Porto at Estadio do Dragao. After an incredibly disappointing first leg tie which finished 2-2 the tie is in the balance, a draw will not do for Man United, it is a must win game.

The good news is that Rio Ferdinand has travelled which means that there is a hope that he can play tomorrow, since being injured the defence has definitely missed him.
Anderson and Rafael have also been injured recently, both have been included in the squad and travelled aswell.

The man (should really be boy) of the moment Kiko Macheda has travelled, I don't expect him to start but with 10/15 minutes left and we still need something out of the game then personally I would stick him on because currently he cannot do any wrong.

The defence will be important which is why Edwin Van Der Sar and Patrice Evra were rested over the weekend but if we can take control of the midfield that could be the key to success.
There is no Darren Fletcher started last week but he hasn't travelled so could Michael Carrick start? Cristiano Ronaldo is a certain starter. You can never predict Fergie's team so I am not even going to bother but I would like to see Ronaldo, Carrick, Scholes and Giggs start. We have to attack but Scholes and Carrick can also defend well which we will also need.

Manchester United Squad: Van der Sar, Foster, Kuszczak; Neville, Evra, Ferdinand, Vidic, Rafael, Fabio, O'Shea, J. Evans; Ronaldo, Anderson, Scholes, Gibson, Carrick, Park, Nani, Giggs; Rooney, Tevez, Berbatov, Macheda.

I am not too hopeful about tomorrow night, I would love to say that I am but we haven't kept a clean sheet since March and that was the 11th against Inter Milan in the Champion's League. It will be a very tense game and I will probably have a heart attack but I am really hoping that we can win and go through to play either Arsenal or Villarreal.
