Ferguson looks to rebuild

It was a disappointing display from our lads on Wednesday, who just couldn’t seem to get going after we conceded the goal. Fergie had previously said that he wasn’t looking at bringing in anyone major in the summer but since the defeat to Barca the rumour mill has started again with United being linked with a whole host of top stars.

Prior to Wednesdays defeat everyone was quite happy with the squad but after seeing us torn apart from a much better team on the night it looks like we might be going to get rid of some of the fringe players and if rumours are to be believed bring in some top quality players.

Nani and Park are two players that have been highlighted as possibilities to leave with many feeling that Nani in particular has not lived up to his promise. Then there is the Ronaldo saga which is again linking him with a move away from the club. It is possible that these three have played their last game in a Man Utd shirt but I think you will see them next year.

Ribery and Benzema continue to be the big names linked with a move to Manchester but the price tags for these players are going to be astronomical. Also I am not sure these players are exactly what we need at the moment.

Whatever happens in the transfer market in the summer I am sure Fergie will be back with a team more than capable of winning the league again and challenging for the Champions League.
