Manchester United 0-0 Arsenal- United Crowned As Champion's

Football - Manchester United v Arsenal Barclays Premier League

After 37 Premier League matches, Manchester United have been crowned as Premier League Champion's with one match to spare. All we needed was a draw against Arsenal and that is exactly what we got. We are now alongside Liverpool with 18 League titles and looking forward to the Champion's League final on the 27th May.

Arsenal fought to the very end to try and spoil the party, they even hit the bar in the last few minutes, this left us with a very nerve racking final few minutes.
After much speculation over his future, Carlos Tevez did start for Man United and Dimitar Berbatov spent this match on the bench.

United could have been 1-0 up in the first 15 seconds, Darren Fletcher put Cristiano Ronaldo through on goal but was unable to convert it into a goal. Tevez was his normal busy self throughout the match, troubling the defenders.

Arsenal's first chance fell to Robin Van Persie who mucked up his header. Arsenal did have a penalty shout in the first half when Van Persie fell in the penalty area after a challenge from Nemanja Vidic, the referee rightly didn't give a penalty.

Second half seemed to drag on, all it needed was one goal from Arsenal and the celebrations would have to be put on hold.

United did have one or two chances but not that many. The first in the second half fell to Tevez when Fletcher put him through on goal but Arsenal goalie Lukasz Fabianski blocked the ball.

67 minutes in and we had a Man United substitution which was incredibly emotional. Tevez was taken off by Sir Alex Ferguson for Ji-Sung Park. Tevez was applauded off and Fergie was booed. The way Tevez came off, it looked like the last time we will see Tevez wearing a Man United shirt at Old Trafford.

Arsenal could have been 1-0 down after Ronaldo was put through on goal by Park, Park did slot the ball into the back of the net but Ronaldo was involved in the move and he was harshly ruled offside.

With only 10 minutes left, Arsenal stepped up a gear and looked like the more likely team to score, United aren't usually involved in 0-0 draws so it was a very tense last few minutes. In the last 10 minutes Cesc Fabregas hit the post and United goalie Edwin Van Der Sar had to save a shot from Van Persie.

The game did finish 0-0 which means that Manchester United have now been crowned as this season's winners of the Barclay's Premier League for the third season in a row. I may be wrong but I am sure that, that means that we will get to keep the trophy after three consecutive Premier League title race wins.
