Manchester United defender Jonny Evans is set for a new deal. Evans has been a major part of Man United's campaign this season and he thoroughly deserves it.

Evans has helped Manchester United win the Premier League, get to the Champion's League final and win the Carling Cup, his reward is believed to be worth £50,000 per week.

Evans has played played in 34 games this season because Rio Ferdinand and Nemanja Vidic have either been injured or suspended. When the season started and if someone asked me if United would have a problem if they were missing either Vidic or Ferdinand, I would have said yes.
Evans has come in and shown that he is a very talented footballer who has a fantastic football career ahead of him. When we were missing either Ferdinand or Vidic, you would never have known, he just slotted in.
