After travelling home in the car last night after watching the Chelsea/Barcelona match (only on TV) I was listening to Radio Five Live's 606 and they did bring up a point that I wanted to talk about.
Before Chelsea were knocked out, Chelsea fans and other fans were saying that we must support the English teams in the Champion's League but after last night how many fans will really support Man United in the Champion's League final?
There one or two supporters (including Tim Lovejoy the presenter who is a Chelsea fan) who want Man United to stuff Barcelona because everyone in Europe think that they are the best team. I did agree with them when they said that Chelsea, Liverpool, Man United or Chelsea could beat Barcelona and that they are overrated. If you stop Messi, you stop they way that Barcelona play and they can only play one way.
What I would now love to no is how many of those supporters will be supporting the English team in the final? I don't think that, that many will.
I can't see any proper Liverpool, Man City, Arsenal, Chelsea, Leeds, etc fans wanting Man United to win. If it was Arsenal who beat Manchester United, there would be no way on earth that I would want Arsenal to win, I would want Barca to win.
Do you think that fans of English clubs should support the English teams? If I was to say yes, then I would be being hypocritical because I wouldn't.

It doesn't matter is a fan of a team from the Premier League. A fan supports the team that he/she wants to support. I'm cheering for Barca simply because I don't like Manu. Last year I was indifferent but was leaning towards Chelsea to win because Manu had already won the Premier League.
This question would only apply to the Champions League.

Hi anonymous, thanks for your comment.
Sorry I thought that I made it clear that I was talking about the Champion's League final.
