Valencia Wants A United Move

Football - Wigan Athletic v Bolton Wanderers Barclays Premier League

It looks like Antonio Valencia has made his mind up, he wants to move to Manchester United.
It is thought that Man United and Real Madrid have both made bids for the player and the player himself would prefer a move to Old Trafford.

A quote in the Daily Mirror says: “Valencia is hoping a compromise is agreed by the weekend while he is playing in the World Cup for his homeland - or he could just let his Wigan deal run down instead."

“Valencia has the alternative option of buying out the last year of his contract next summer, and his camp reveal he would be happy to wait until then if his dream move to United is blocked now.”

It is thought that either Danny Welbeck or Danny Simpson could be used as part of a deal which would see one of them go on loan to Wigan for a season.
I am not quite sure about Valencia, he has had some good performances this season but when he played against us, he didn't really do much.

Sir Alex Ferguson obviously rates him and you have to trust your manager and if he wants Valencia then I am sure he will be welcomed by the fans.

£17 million seems over the top to me, especially as we just spent £7M on Tosic and still have Nani. We should save the money and bring Benzema to Manchester United

Hi Dave, thanks for your comment.
It does seem a little over the top. People seem to have written Nani off but I don't think that is the case.
Tosic also needs to be given a chance in the first team.

I understand what you are saying and I would also like to see Benzema at Old Trafford.
