Man United manager Sir Alex Ferguson (and the press) put poor Jonny Evans under a little bit of pressure during a press conference. Ferguson was talking about how marriage has improved Wayne Rooney and then the attention turned onto Evans.
Sportsmail asked Evans if it was time for him to get married to his girlfriend Kate. Unfortunately for him and Kate, she was in the room because she was on work experience with ITV.Evans replied: “I really don’t want to talk about it, especially as my girlfriend is sitting in the middle of you all.”
“She is on a work placement with ITV this week.”
Everyone then turned to look at Kate who had turned bright red.
“Get him tied down, dear,” Ferguson added
“Rings are cheap now.”
You have got to feel sorry for the both of them, can’t get too much more embarrasing that that. Well, actually it could have. He could have said there was no chance of that ever happening.
