As you may know, three Blackburn players and two members of their staff have come down with Swine Flu. Last night Blackburn’s Carling Cup game went ahead and this weekend they play Man United in the Premier League.

The Blackburn manager is now showing signs of having swine flu, which is why he stayed away during last nights Carling Cup game. Footballers have also been told not to spit during matches; this may pass on the flu.

The last thing Man United need is for the players to come down with Swine flu. The last thing any football clubs need is there players to contract this flu. If anymore Blackburn players or member of staff come down with this, I hope the game gets postponed.

"He is feeling a little unwell, so he sat upstairs as he wanted to see the picture from above," Blackburn Rovers assistant manager Neil McDonald said.

"He trusts in his staff which is excellent, and he was at the game but he didn't want to take any chances [by being close to the players].

"He shot out just to make sure nobody gets what he might have."

"It's under control. We had a squad up on Monday and everyone came through from that squad which was great."

"We will monitor it on a 24-hour basis. Everyone seems okay.

He added: "I'm not a medic so I don't know how it is passed on, but you can spit, cough, sneeze - anything that comes out of your body is how it is passed on I suppose.

"I think there is always a problem in it spreading, but we are doing our best to try and contain everything by doing the right things and monitoring everyone, and we will continue to do that.

"Hopefully it won't spread any more, fingers crossed."
