After both Chelsea and Arsenal lost today in the Premier League, picking up three points at the Reebok Stadium is vital. A win would close the gap behind Chelsea down to just one point.

Man United haven’t picked up three points in any of their away League fixtures so far this season, after a 3-3 draw with Everton and 2-2 draw with Fulham. This season Bolton have drawn both their home games, a 0-0 draw against Fulham on the opening day of the season and a 2-2 draw with Birmingham.

Jussi Jaaskelainen has completed his three-match ban following the sending off in the 2-2 draw against Birmingham. Bolton will be without Gary Cahill, who is serving a suspension after being sent off against Arsenal.

Andy O’Brien, Joey O’Brien, Ricardo Gardner and Jlloyd Samuel are all doubtful. Owen Coyle will be without Gavin McCann and Sean Davis

After making 11 changes in the League Cup midweek, the big guns should return to the line-up. Rio Ferdinand could make his first League start of the season after successfully coming through the 5-2 win over Scunthorpe.

Michael Carrick and Owen Hargreaves have returned to training but they are both set to miss out. Antonio Valencia is also out as he recovers from surgery.

The referee tomorrow lunchtime will be Phild Dowd. So far this season he has taken charge of six games, showing 28 yellow cards and two reds. He only refereed two matches involving United, the 2-0 win over Blackburn at Old Trafford and the 2-1 win over Aston Villa at Wembley in the League Cup.
