Man United striker Wayne Rooney will not travel with the squad to Spain tomorrow for the Champions League clash against Valencia this Wednesday. Rooney picked up an ankle injury in the 2-2 draw with Bolton on Sunday.

This season Rooney has played six games for Man United scoring one goal, which came in the 3-0 win over West Ham. Not only will it give him some time to rest  and recover but hopefully he can get his head sorted after having some off field issues in his private life.

There were a few rumours earlier on today that he might not make the squad, the news has been confirmed by ManUtd.com
