Ahead of the Champions League game against Bursaspor tomorrow evening, the massive news concerning Wayne Rooney is dominating the headlines. Manager Sir Alex Ferguson has confirmed that Rooney is adamant that he wants to leave the club.

Sir Alex said: “His [Rooney’s] agent has intimated he won’t sign a contract and wants away. It’s a shock”. You can find the full interview with MUTV by clicking here.

Man United go into the game off the back of yet another draw in the Premier League after going 2-0 up, they conceded two goals against West Brom. Bersaspor were also held to a 2-2 draw after they played Karabukspor last Friday, but unlike United, they are top of their league table.

Rooney will not play a part in tomorrow’s game after being stretchered out of training with an ankle injury. Michael Owen has a slight groin injury and will also be out along with Jonny Evans, who has a hip injury and Ryan Giggs, who picked up a hamstring injury against West Brom at the weekend.

Man United squad: Van der Sar, Kuszczak, O'Shea, Brown, Rafael, Neville, Ferdinand, Vidic, Smalling, Evra, Fabio, Nani, Obertan, Scholes, Fletcher, Carrick, Gibson, Anderson, Park, Berbatov, Macheda, Hernandez.

The Turkish Champions have lost their previous two games in this seasons Champions League group stages- a 4-0 loss to Valencia and 1-0 loss to Rangers. So far Man United have had a 1-0 win against Valencia and a 0-0 draw against Rangers.

Referee is Italy's Gianluca Rocchi, who has not taken charge of any game involving a Premier League side.

On paper, it looks like an easy win for United but with the way results have been going so far this season, Bursaspor could leave with a point or even three.
