Giggs Set For New Deal And Youngster Leaves United

Manchester United Chief Executive David Gill is set to open up contract talks with Ryan Giggs.

The 37-year old made his 600th appearance for United against Tottenham at the weekend. Giggs' contract is close to running out but it looks like he may be offered a new one-year extension. After the 0-0 draw against Tottenham, manager Sir Alex Ferguson called Giggs an "incredible human being".

Gill said: "I wouldn’t be surprised if he extends his contract for another season.

"That will be addressed in the next month or so. He has been playing well, keeps himself in great shape and is a wonderful advert for the modern footballer."

Manchester United confirmed earlier on today that 17-year old Academy midfielder Etzaz Hussain has left United and returned to his former club, Norweigen side, Valerenga. Hussain joined United in July 2009 and signed a professional contract January 2010 but will now return to Norway for an undisclosed fee.
