Man United have confirmed that the midfielder has signed a new four-year deal, which will keep the Scottish international at Old Trafford until 2015.

Fletcher has come through Man United's academy, he made his first team debut on the 1st March 2003 against FC Basel in the Champions League, the game finished as a 1-1 draw. Since then Fletcher has gone on to make 288 appearances, scoring 21 goals.

Very pleased for him, he was or looked out of sorts in his first couple of seasons and came under heavy criticism from many corners. He has persevered over his time and his abundance of energy and high work rate has made him a regular first team player. Great to see so many players signing new contracts of late. Keep it up Fletch, do us proud!
