United Confirm Tour Dates

Manchester United have confirmed the details of their summer pre-season tour of the USA this summer.

United's first game will be against New England Revolution in the Gillette Stadium, Boston on the 13th July 2011. That will then be followed by a game against Seattle Sounders FC at Qwest Field, Seattle on the 20th July. On the 23rd July, Man United will face Chicago Fire at Soldier Field, Chicago. Man United's fourth game in the USA will be against MLS All-Stars at the Red Bull Arena in New Jersey. The final match in United's pre-season tour will be against Spanish giants Barcelona at FedExField stadium in Washington DC.

Sir Alex Ferguson told ManUtd.com: “Tours are a fantastic chance for the players to get away as a unit, to put in some good training sessions and to meet some of our fans around the world who don’t have a chance to watch us play live every week.

"Our visits to the US are always enjoyable ones. The training facilities are excellent and we certainly found last year that, with the improving quality of the MLS teams, the games are very competitive, which is great preparation for a new season. To finish off with a match against Barcelona will be a special moment for all our fans in the States.”

Manchester United toured North America in last year's pre-season tour, which saw them play against Celtic in Toronto, Philadelphia Union in Philadelphia, Kansas City Wizards in Kansas, MLS All-Starts in Houston and finally Chivas in Mexico.
