Manchester United v Everton



Manchester United have beaten Everton 2-1 with two goals from Ronaldo which has ended Everton's unbeaten run.

22 minutes into the match Ronaldo gave United the lead with a brilliant shot which took a slight deflection which hit the back of the net. Five minutes later Cahill beat Evra in the air and headed the ball into the back of the net.

In the second half United were putting all of the pressure on Everton but their defence stood strong until the 87th minutes when Pienaar's leg tripped Giggs up in the penalty area. Ronaldo calmy scored to give tUnited the 2-1 win.

There were six yellow cards in the match (mu- Evra, Rooney, Anderson E- Hibbert, Cahill, Pienaar) four coming in the first 15 minutes.
United Team: Kuszczak, Simpson, Brown, Vidic, Evra; Ronaldo, Carrick, Anderson, Giggs; Rooney, Tevez. Subs: Heaton, O'Shea, Saha, Nani, Fletcher.

Everton Team: Howard; Hibbert, Yobo, Jagielka, Lescott; Carsley, Cahill, P Neville, Pienaar; Yakubu, Johnson.
Subs: Wessels, McFadden, Nuno Valente, Anichebe, Gravesen.
