Can United Go Through To The Next Round?

Last night there were two shocks in the Carling Cup, one bigger than the other. Burnley had already knocked Chelsea out of the Cup and last night they knocked Arsenal out. Derby also knocked out a Premier League side- Stoke.

Tonight Manchester United take on Blackburn for the right to go to the semi-finals and with Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool all kicked out, United are now favourites to go on and win it.

United are without Cristiano Ronaldo who got a stupid red card at the weekend but in my and many other peoples opinion's he wouldnt have played anyway so it doesn't really make a difference.

Sir Alex is expected to make many changes to the team who beat Manchester City 1-0 on Saturday. Carlos Tevez is expected to start upfront and Manucho has been named in the squad so he could possibly start but Sir Alex did go for a 4-5-1 in the last Carling Cup match against QPR, so he could do that again tonight.

I am expecting Rafael, Nani, Anderson and Evans to start but I could be totally wrong.

Blackburn are unable to play Danny Simpson who is ineligable because he is on loan from Man United.

Defender Martin Olsson is in contention for Blackburn after serving a one-match ban, but Keith Andrews is cup-tied.

Vince Grella, David Dunn and Steven Reid remain sidelined for Rovers.

Squads:

Manchester United: Foster, Kuszczak, Rafael, Evans, Cleverley, Neville, Chester, Vidic, O'Shea, Nani, Park, Fletcher, Anderson, Possebon, Gibson, Giggs, Tevez, Welbeck, Manucho.

Blackburn: Robinson, Brown, Simpson, Ooijer, Samba, Nelsen, Emerton, Khizanishvili, Warnock, Mokoena, Olsson, Tugay, Treacy, Pedersen, Roberts, Derbyshire, Villanueva, Santa Cruz, Fowler, McCarthy.
