Row Over Rooney?

It looks like next month Wayne Rooney could be involved in a club v country row.

There have been reports that Man United have been slightly worried about Rooney's progress from injury but he is expected to return from a hamstring injury in two weeks.

Sir Alex Ferguson will not allow Rooney to play in England's friendly in Spain on February 11 unless he has first played for United.I think that that is fair enough especially considering that it is Man United who pay his wages and United will want to make sure that he has fully overcome his injury before sending him on International duty.

There was a slight club v country row over Steven Gerrard last year when England manager Fabio Capello insisted that Gerrard joined up with the squad even though he was injured.

The match against Spain is only a friendly and the last thing that United need is Rooney injuring himself in a friendly match against Spain.

If it did come to a point when it would be Fergie v Capello, I no who I would pick to win.
