Evan's Desperate To Play In Final

Defender Jonny Evan's is desperate to play against Tottenham Hotspur in the Carling Cup final at Wembley this Sunday.

Evan's was passed fit to play for United against Inter Milan on Tuesday but he did have to play with a pain killing injection and if he is to play on Sunday, he may have to do that again.

Rio Ferdinand, John O'Shea, Nemanja Vidic, Fabio Da Silva, Patrice Evra are available for Sunday's game, Evan's has a slight ankle injury but may play through the pain barrier. There is no news on how Rafael Da Silva, Wes Brown and Gary Neville are getting on, all of them may still have injuries.

"It's not nice to even think about it," ITV quote Evans as replying when asked how he might respond should he miss out on the game."The manager has tried to tell me if I miss it, it's no big thing, but I would be quite gutted."In a way, that game [against Inter] was more important because there weren't many other options."That won't be the case on Sunday. But hopefully the manager will allow me to have a few more injections."
