Rio Ferdinand has been injured quite a bit this season and his replacement (before he also was injured) was Jonny Evans. Evans' was a fantastic replacement and looked comfortable alongside Nemanja Vidic.

It has now been revealed that Evans is poised to sign a new five-year deal at Old Trafford which is great news.

Evan's was a big part of Manchester United's record breaking defence. He has had two successful loan spells at Sunderland, he was accused of rape a few years back after a Manchester United Christmas party but charges were dropped. Evans' is now back at Old Trafford and hopefully stays here for a long time to come.

I believe that he could become a world class player.
