West Ham United vs Manchester United, Match Preview

Today Manchester United take on West Ham, who along side Man United are the Premier League's in form team. It may be a surprise, because it was to me, but in the last nine matches in London, Manchester United have only won one.

The Hammers will be without, Dean Ashton, Kieron Dyer and Danny Gabbidon due to injuries. They do have new loan signing Radoslav Kovac available to play.

Some good injury news for Man United (for once) Wayne Rooney and Patrice Evra are fit and ready to play this match but I would expect both of them to start on the bench.
Wes Brown could start his first League match since October, mainly because Gary Neville is struggling to fight off a virus.
Rafael da Silva and Fabio da Silva are both fit, I would love to see them both start and see how they play together but I don't think that is going to happen.

In Man United's last match (against Everton) Edwin Van Der Sar broke Steve Death's (former Reading goalie) Football League record of 1,103 minutes without conceding a goal which was Van Der Sar's 12th consecutive clean sheet.
If Van Der Sar and Man United can keep a clean sheet during this match to the 75th minute mark then United will break Chris Woods' (former Glasgow Rangers goalie) British record of 1,196 minutes.

Squads
West Ham: Green, Neill, Collins, Upson, Ilunga, Behrami, Parker, Noble, Savio, Collison, Cole, Di Michele, Boa Morte, Lastuvka, Lopez, Spector, Tomkins, Tristan, Sears, Kovac.

Man United: Van der Sar, Foster, Kuszczak, Brown, Eckersley, Ferdinand, Vidic, O'Shea, Evra, Ronaldo, Carrick, Scholes, Fletcher, Gibson, Giggs, Park, Tosic, Berbatov, Rooney, Tevez, Possebon.

Today will be a tough match but after Liverpool just managed to win yesterday at Pompey, that took them to the top of the table. We may have played two games less but we have to win today.
