Giggs' Gets What He Deserves

Ryan Giggs last night was named as the Professional Footballers’ Association (PFA) Players Player Of The Year beating four other of his team mates (Rio Ferdinand, Nemanja Vidic, Edwin Van Der Sar and Cristiano Ronaldo) and Liverpool's Steven Gerrard.

Obviously Liverpool fans aren't happy, they are complaining that he has only played a handful of games this season but when he has played, he has been fantastic but on the other hand, it is a sentimental vote. Giggs' has been top class this season but Ferdinand and Vidic have played better and throughout the season (when they weren't injured or suspended).

This has been Ryan Giggs' 19th season in top flight football and I honestly believe that he thoroughly deserves an award. I am happy that he has won it but has he really played enough matches to say that he has been the league's player of the year?

Ryan Giggs has been a servant for Manchester United and there is a petition going saying that he should be handed an knighthood- Sir Ryan Giggs sounds great doesn't it? If you are interested then you can sign it here.
