Manchester United v Aston Villa Preview

Tomorrow is a massive match for both Manchester United and Aston Villa, United are fighting for top spot with Liverpool and Villa are fighting with Arsenal for fourth position. Liverpool play today so there is a good possibility that they could be top of the Premier League before we kick off tomorrow, but we will have played two games less.

Manchester United have lost their last two games in the Premier League (sorry, I had to bring it up again) so we really cannot afford to drop anymore points. Aston Villa didn't win a game in March and have now dropped down into fifth place.

Villa not won a league match at Old Trafford since a 1-2 victory on November 5th 1983. Their last win over us in any competition was a 3-0 victory at Villa Park on October 13th 1999 in the Worthington League Cup third round.

Manchester United are without Vidic, Rooney and Scholes who have all received red cards over the last two Premier League games. United will also be without Berbatov who will be out for a further two weeks.

United are also without Anderson and Brown, Anderson picked up an injury whilst on International duty with Brazil and Brown has been injured for what seems like ages.

There is also an injury doubt with Ferdinand, if we are without him then central defence could be a bit of a problem.

Friedel was sent off for Aston Villa against Liverpool but he has had his red card rescinded (which I think was the correct decision) so he will face United tomorrow. Heskey has been ruled out after an injury picked up whilst playing for England (in a friendly match).

Agbonlahor was left out of Villa's loss to Liverpool but he will be recalled tomorrow and will probably start.
