Easy Derby Win For United

MANCHESTER UNITED V MANCHESTER CITY

You can never predict derby matches, especially the Manchester derby so it was a big relief that Man United won it yesterday to take us back to the top of the table. There were a few talking points before, during and after the match but it has been overshadowed by Cristiano Ronaldo's behaviour.

Not long into the second half, Ronaldo was substituted which was obviously due to Fergie believing we have won the match and that we have an important game against Wigan on Wednesday. Ronaldo didn't like it at all, he pushed away a tracksuit which was offered to him by a member of staff, he was shaking he head and acting like a stroppy toddler. Around 15 minutes after the match finished he left the ground.

Before the game there were many reports and speculation over Carlos Tevez' future, apparently he had said that he will leave Man United in the summer to one of our rivals. Ferguson's response was to start Tevez.

Man United were without Rio Ferdinand for the game who has been struggling again with a back injury. Jonny Evan's had woken up feeling unwell and had a injury problem but he played.

Manchester United went ahead through a Ronaldo freekick. Dimitar was fouled by Steven Ireland, Ji-Sung Park was in the middle of City's wall, Ronaldo stepped up, Park moved out of the way and Ronaldo's freekick went into the back of the net after City keeper Shay Given had been wrong footed.

Man City didn't have that many chances but the good chances that they did have, fell to their 'superstar' Robinho who wasted them. Robinho could have brought City level when the ball broke kindly to him but he shot wide.

Tevez nearly put United 2-0 up when his shot from the left hit the crossbar and bounced away. Tevez did put Man United 2-0 up not long after that, Tevez' strike bounced of post and went in.

City did come out after half time with a bit more enthusiasm and Robinho had their best chance of the game he got onto Nigel de Jong's ball into him and shot well wide from eight yards out.

The second half wasn't great at all, we stepped down a level or two to save some energy for the game against Wigan on Wednesday.
We got all three points from the Manchester derby, we went back to the top of the Premier League, we have done the double over City this season. The only bad point from yesterday was Ronaldo's reaction to being substituted.
