Cristiano Ronaldo has apologised for his tantrum last weekend. Ronaldo said sorry to Manchester United assistant kitman Alec Wyllie after he snatched a tracksuit top out of his hand and then threw it onto the floor.

The Sun had reported that senior Man United players had a word with Ronaldo and have told him to stop acting like a plonker. Ronaldo has now apologised to Alec Wyllie.

It was totally understandable that Ronaldo wanted to stay on the field, he wants to get the golden boot and Anelka is only one goal behind him but he can't act that way. This should be the end of it now, there is no point in dragging it up and going over it again and again.

Ronaldo has apologised and hopefully he won't do it again.
