Former Manchester United defender Mikael Silvestre has slammed current Manchester United defender Patrice Evra. After Manchester United won against Arsenal in the Champion's League, Evra compared it to "men against babies" and Silvestre isn't too happy about that.
Silvestre told the press that Evra has disrespected the club and that he believes that Kolo Toure, Emmanuel Adebayor or Robin Van Persie are babies. Does that mean that the rest are?
Silvestre told Le Parisien, "I think it is a lack of respect to players like Kolo Toure, Emmanuel Adebayor or Robin Van Persie. They are not babies, they are over 25.
"For sure, conceding a goal early in the game was a blow, but we have to remember that we were without William Gallas, Gael Clichy and Andrei Arshavin. It would have been a different story if they had been there.
"It is up to us to show next season that he is wrong and that Arsenal can win silverware playing our football."
Evra did have a point and there has been a lot worse stuff said between the two clubs. Personally I had forgotten about it and don't understand why it has been brought up again. Never mind, I don't think Evra will be too bothered.
